PRIVACY INFORMATION STATEMENT

1. INTRODUCTION AND OVERVIEW
This Privacy Statement describes how Seiko Epson Corporation (including its subsidiaries and affiliated companies) ("EPSON") collects, uses, and shares information about you and applies to your use of the EPSON Projection Studio application and all features, content, and other services that EPSON owns, controls and makes available through the EPSON Projection Studio application and related software (the "Service"). This Privacy Statement does not apply to EPSONfs data collection activities outside of the Service (unless otherwise stated below or at the time of collection).
You agree to the EPSON Projection Studio applicationfs End User License Agreement (gEULAh), and in doing so, you consent to EPSONfs collection, use and disclosure practices, and other activities as described in such applicable documentation and this Privacy Statement. If you do not agree and consent, discontinue use of the Service and/or software, as applicable.
This Privacy Statement is intended to apply to the collection and processing of personal information from customers and individuals in the United States. It does not apply to websites managed or operated by other Epson entities or websites in other countries operated by other Epson entities, including in the European Union. If Epson receives and becomes aware of any personal information of a customer or individual in the European Union, such information will not be processed or retained by Epson America, Inc.
2. INFORMATION COLLECTION
A. Information You Provide to Us.
EPSON collects information you provide directly to EPSON via the Service. For example, EPSON collects information when you use the Service, create an account (including all information submitted as part of your registration), subscribe to EPSON notifications, engage with or communicate with EPSON through the Service.
The information EPSON collects may include Personal Information. "Personal Information" is information that can be used to identify an individual (whether alone or in combination), such as first and last name and email address.
You may choose to voluntarily submit certain other information to EPSON through the Service, including Personal Information, but you are solely responsible for such Personal Information in instances where EPSON has not collected such information or requested that you submit such information to EPSON.
Personal Information once aggregated or de-identified cannot identify you and therefore will not be subject to this Privacy Statement. EPSON and its Service Providers (defined below) may treat aggregated or de-identified information as non-Personal Information and use it without obligation to you except as prohibited by applicable law.
B. Information EPSON Collects Automatically.
EPSON may automatically collect certain information about you when you access or use the Service ("Usage Information"). Usage Information may include your IP address, device identifier, Ad ID, browser type; operating system characteristics, data regarding network connected hardware (e.g., computer or mobile device), and information about your use of the Service, such as the time and duration of your visit and how you arrived at the Service. Except to the extent required by applicable law, EPSON does not consider Usage Information to be Personal Information. However, Usage Information may be combined with your Personal Information. To the extent that EPSON combines Usage Information with your Personal Information, EPSON will treat the combined information as Personal Information under this Privacy Statement. EPSONfs Service Providers may also collect Personal Information as explained in this Privacy Statement.

To the extent EPSON combines such third party sourced information with Personal Information EPSON collects directly from you on the Service, EPSON will treat the combined information as Personal Information under this Privacy Statement. EPSON is not responsible for the accuracy of the information provided by third parties or third party practices.

4. ACCESSING THE SERVICE FROM THIRD-PARTY APPLICATIONS
Epson is not responsible or liable for the third-party applications that you download onto your mobile device or its availability, content, accuracy or privacy and data collection practices. Applications developed by third-parties are not operated or controlled by Epson. These third-party applications may enable you to project on your Epson device. The data collected by these third-party applications is subject to such third-party applicationfs terms of use and privacy policy. If you decide to download or access the third-party application, you do so entirely at your own risk. We recommend that you review the privacy and data collection practices of such third-party application.
5. SHARING INFORMATION
EPSONfs agents, vendors, consultants, and other service providers (collectively "Service Providers") and EPSONfs affiliated companies, including Epsonfs parent company may receive, or be given access to your information, without limitation, Personal Information and Usage Information, in connection with their work on EPSONfs behalf. Each party is prohibited from using Personal Information for any purpose other than to provide this assistance, although EPSON may permit them to use aggregate information (which does not identify the data subject) or de-identified data for other purposes. EPSON may also share information about you as follows:
Epson also shares your information with Epson-controlled affiliates and subsidiaries (gAffiliatesh) for legitimate business purposes. Please be informed that Affiliates may be located in a country other than your country, where privacy laws may be different from the laws of your country. EPSON may also share aggregated information which does not identify you or de-identified information about you with third parties or Affiliates for any purpose.
6. ADDITIONAL U.S. STATE PRIVACY LAWS DISCLOSURES
6.1. California Residents – Notice at Collection
This California Privacy Notice supplements our Privacy Statement and sets forth the disclosures and rights for California residents regarding their Personal Information, as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act (gCCPAh), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (gCPRAh), and any implementing regulations adopted thereunder. Terms (including defined capitalized terms) used in this California Privacy Notice have the same meanings given in the CCPA, unless otherwise defined.
Your California Consumer Rights. Subject to certain exceptions, under the CCPA you have the following rights regarding your Personal Information:

Exercising Your California Privacy Rights.
To exercise any of your privacy rights, please submit a request through our online form available at https://dsar.goepson.com or call our toll-free number at 1-800-822-0313. In the request, please specify which right you are seeking to exercise. We will confirm receipt of your request and may require specific information from you to help us verify your identity and process your request, in accordance with the law.
Authorized Agents. You may exercise your privacy rights through an authorized agent. We reserve the right to request a signed, written permission signed by the individual who is the subject of the request authorizing you to make the request on their behalf. The written permission must state your full legal name, the full legal name of the individual who is the subject of the request, and a clear description of the permission granted. Please keep in mind that if we do not receive proper evidence that an agent is authorized to act on the consumer's behalf, we may deny the request.
Verifying Requests. The CCPA requires us to perform identity verification for requests to know, correct, and delete. If we are unable to verify your identity, we may deny your requests to know, correct, or delete. We will only use the information you provide in a request to verify your identity. If we are unable to verify your identity, we will not be able to process the request.
Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information: For information that qualifies as Sensitive Personal Information under the CCPA, as of January 1, 2023, if you elect to provide us with that Sensitive Personal Information, you will have consented to our processing of such information. We use Sensitive Personal Information as authorized by applicable privacy laws or with your consent, as appropriate. We do not use Sensitive Personal Information in a manner that would require us to provide consumers the right to limit its use. Should our practices change, we will provide you with notice of such change.
Data Retention. We retain Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes outlined in this Notice or permitted by law. Specifically, we retain your information when you have an account with us, or as long as you use the Service, so that we can provide the Service to you. When you stop using the Service, we will either delete your Personal Information or de-identify it, except as otherwise required by law.
Childrenfs Information. Our products and the Service are not directed at children below the age of 18. We have no actual knowledge of any sale or sharing of the personal information of consumers under 18 years old.
Right to Non-Discrimination for the Exercise of a Consumer's Privacy Rights
California Consumers have the right to not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising CCPA rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.
Personal Information We Collect & Purposes for Collection
The Personal Information we collect about you will depend upon how you use the Service. In addition to the information indicated below, we may collect and/or use additional types of information and will do so after providing notice to you and obtaining your consent to the extent such notice and consent are required by applicable law. We may also collect information about you from third-party sources, such as social media platforms, our partners, and data brokers. We collect anonymous and aggregated information about how the Service and our products are used. In certain cases, for any identified data, we will either aggregate or apply a process of de-identification or pseudonymization to your information, so it is unlikely to identify you.
In gTable 1 – U.S. Disclosuresh below, we provide details about the categories of information we collect, the purposes we use it for, with whom we share it with and for what purposes.
Opt-out Preference Signals (also known as global privacy control or gGPCh). Some of the U.S. Privacy Laws require businesses to process GPC signals, which are referred to in California as opt-out preference signals (gOOPSh). To use an OOPS/GPC, you can download an internet browser or a plugin to use on your current internet browser and follow the settings to enable the OOPS/GPC, as available at https://globalprivacycontrol.org/orgs?icid2=globalprivacycontrol. We can receive and process GPC signals on our Sites for visitors with IP Addresses indicating they are from a state where this is required.
Shine the Light
Customers who are residents of California may request (i) a list of the categories of personal information disclosed by us to third parties during the immediately preceding calendar year for those third partiesf own direct marketing purposes; and (ii) a list of the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed such information. To exercise a request, please write us at the email or postal address set out in gContact Ush above and specify that you are making a gCalifornia Shine the Light Request.h We may require additional information from you to allow us to verify your identity and are only required to respond to requests once during any calendar year.
6.2. U.S. State Privacy Notice (Non-California)
Other U.S. states, such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Florida, Oregon, Texas, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, and Minnesota privacy laws provide their respective residents several rights, including the right to know, correct, delete, the right to data portability, and the right to request us to stop selling or sharing their personal data with third parties. If you are a resident of such states, this section applies to any personal data that we collect about you in accordance with your respective state's privacy laws. If you would like to exercise any rights available to you, please contact us as described in the Contact Us Section.
We set forth in Table 1 below the categories of Personal Information we collect and the purpose for processing it, the categories of Personal Information we share, and the categories of third parties with whom Personal Information is shared and for what purpose. Please include your full name, the basis for your appeal, and any additional information to consider.
Right to Opt-Out of Targeted Advertising and gSalesh: We engage in online advertising and analytics practices that may be considered gtargeted advertisingh or a gsaleh of data under applicable state privacy laws.
Right to Opt-Out of Automated Decision Making and Profiling: While some state laws may permit you to opt-out of the automated decision making and profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, we currently do not engage in either of these activities.

If we are unable to verify your identity, we may deny your requests to know or delete as authorized by applicable laws.
Authorized Agent. You can designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. However, we may require written proof of the agentfs permission to do so and verify your identity directly.
Appeal Right. You may appeal Epsonfs decision regarding a request to exercise your privacy rights by sending us an e-mail at epson.privacy@ea.epson.com and responding to any follow-up inquiries or requests we make. The appeal must contain a detailed summary of your reasoning, so we can properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it. If your appeal is denied, you have the right to contact your local Attorney General if you have concerns about the result of the appeal, as prescribed by applicable law.
Nevada Residents. Nevada consumers may submit requests directing businesses not to sell certain kinds of personal information that the business has collected or will collect about the consumer. A sale under Nevada law is the exchange of personal information for monetary consideration by the business to a third party for the third party to license or sell the personal information to other third parties. 7. CHILDRENfS PRIVACY
The Service is not intended for nor targeted toward children under the age of eighteen (18). EPSON does not knowingly collect personal information from children, and if EPSON learns that it has collected such information, EPSON will delete the information in accordance with COPPA. If you are a child under the age of eighteen (18), you are not permitted to use the Service and should not send any information about yourself to EPSON through the Service. If you are a parent or guardian and believe EPSON has collected information in a manner not permitted by COPPA or other applicable law, please contact EPSON using the information provided at the bottom of this policy statement.
8. DATA SECURITY
EPSON takes reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. Nevertheless, transmission via the Internet is not completely secure, and EPSON cannot guarantee the security of your information collected through the Service.
9. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER
Information collected through the Service may be transferred to, processed, stored and used in the U.S. Data protection laws in the U.S. may be different from those of your country of residence. Your use of the Service or provision of any information therefore constitutes your consent to the transfer to and from, processing, usage, sharing and storage of your information, including Personal Information, in the U.S. as set forth in this Privacy Statement.
10. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY STATEMENT
EPSON reserves the right to revise and reissue this Privacy Statement at any time, including as necessary to comply with applicable laws. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting of the revised Privacy Statement. Subject to applicable law, your continued use of the Service indicates your consent to the privacy policy posted. If the changes are material, EPSON may provide you additional notice, to your e-mail address.
