You can register projectors using the projector's menu or Epson Web Control to use this service to monitor projectors without the Epson Projector Connected Agent software.
If your projector has the EPMC Monitoring Control setting in the projector's Network menu, you can register and monitor projectors without the Epson Projector Connected Agent software.
Depending on your projector, a message may be displayed to notify you that no USB flash drive is connected. Do the following:
Connect a USB flash drive to the projector.
Select Always On as the A/V Output setting in the projector's menu.
The USB flash drive must use a FAT32 format and have 200 MB or more empty space. Do not place any firmware files directly on the USB flash drive.
You can connect the projector to the network even if the DHCP setting is set to On.
Turn on the projector.
Do one of the following:
Press the Menu button on the remote control or the control panel, and select the Network menu.
Go to the Epson Web Control screen, and select the Network menu on the Advanced screen.
Select Network Settings and set the Priority Control Interface setting to the LAN you use to connect to the Internet.
If your projector has no Priority Control Interface setting, you do not need to make this setting.
When using the projector's menu, select the EPMC Monitoring Control setting.
Select the EPMC Settings setting.
Set EPMC Monitoring Control to On.
Select one of the following methods to enter the organization ID.
When using the projector's menu, select the Organization ID setting and specify the downloaded environmental setup file to import the organization ID from the file. You need to save the downloaded environmental setup file onto the USB flash drive and connect it to the projector.
When using the projector's menu, select the Organization ID setting and enter the organization ID manually using the displayed keyboard.
When using Epson Web Control, specify the downloaded environmental setup file to import the organization ID from the file.
You can download the file from the My Account screen in Epson Projector Management Connected.
If the date and time have not been set, a screen prompting you to set the date and time is displayed. Follow the on-screen instructions and specify the current local data and time. And then set the time difference from Coordinated Universal Time. For example, set to -8:00 in Los Angeles, -5:00 in New York, +0:00 in London, and +9:00 in Tokyo.
Make the proxy server settings as necessary.
When not using a proxy server, enter 0.0.0.0 as the IP address and 8080 as the port number.
Make the Communication Mode setting to select how to connect to the server.
When selecting Bi-directional, communication is established in both directions between the Epson Projector Connected Agent software and the server.
When selecting Uni-directional, communication is restricted to one direction from the projector to the server. You cannot use the following functions that require communication from the server to the projector.
Schedule settings
Projector control
Firmware update
Copying menu settings
If the error message Cannot communicate with the server. is displayed, check the following settings.
When selecting On as the DHCP setting and obtaining the DNS server address automatically, make sure that the DNS Server 1 and DNS Server 2 settings are set to 0.0.0.0. (The address acquired using DHCP is not displayed.)
When selecting On as the DHCP setting and specifying the DNS server address manually, make sure that the DNS Server 1 setting or both DNS Server 1 and DNS Server 2 settings are set correctly.
When the DHCP setting is set to Off, make sure that the DNS Server 1 setting or both DNS Server 1 and DNS Server 2 and the Gateway Address settings are set correctly.
When you have finished making settings, save your settings and exit the menus.
When you want to copy the settings to other projectors, connect a USB flash drive and select Export EPMC Settings. Next, connect the USB flash drive containing the saved file to another projector and select Import EPMC Settings.
