Firmware Update Status

You can check the firmware update status on the Firmware Update screen.

If the status indicates that a problem has occurred, see the following table for a solution.

Update Notifications

New firmware is available. The update has not been scheduled yet.

Scheduled

The update has been scheduled. It is not the start date and time yet.

Waiting to Launch Agent App

Another scheduled update is in progress. When that is complete, this update will start.

Downloading...

Downloading the firmware file.

Uploading...

The firmware file is uploading to the projector.

Updating...

Updating the firmware.

Updated

The firmware update is complete.

Monitor Password Authentication Error

Enter the correct Monitor Password for the projector in the Epson Projector Connected Agent software.

Web Control Password Authentication Error

Enter the correct Web Control Password for the projector in the Epson Projector Connected Agent software.

ESC/VP.net Communication Error

  • Make sure that no devices other than the Epson projector are connected.

  • It might be a temporary error. Update the firmware again.

  • Depending on your projector and the firmware version, you might need to set the Monitor Password and Web Control Password again. Set the password in the projector's menu, and then update the firmware again.

TCP Connection Error

A communication error has occurred between the projector and the computer on which the Epson Projector Connected Agent software is installed. See the "Solving Problems" section.

Bi-directional Communication Error

Epson Projector Management Connected cannot control the firmware update. Select Bi-directional as the Communication Mode setting.

Timeout

Epson Projector Management Connected cannot communicate with the projector.

When using the Epson Projector Connected Agent software, check if the projector is registered in the Epson Projector Connected Agent software.

When not using the Epson Projector Connected Agent software, check the projector's EPMC Settings setting.

Projector Internal Error

The projector is warming up or cooling down. Update the firmware again.

If you cannot resolve the problem, contact Epson for help.

Write Error

The firmware or configuration file may be corrupted. Download the firmware again, and then try updating again.

Wireless LAN Error

Firmware updates over a wireless network are not supported. Connect the projector to a wired network.

Download Error

  • Connect a USB flash drive that has 200 MB or more empty space.

  • Select Always On as the A/V Output setting in the projector's menu.

  • To update the firmware when the projector is in standby mode (when power is off), do not turn on the projector.
